Our Story
Schrock Custom Homes is a custom homebuilder serving Northeast Ohio families in Wayne, Holmes, Medina, and surrounding counties. Our core values include Integrity, Excellence, Servant Leadership, and Communication.
Ben Schrock draws from 25 years of industry experience. He grew up on a farm and began his construction career doing block and brick masonry to help pay his way through school. After graduating from Grove City College with his degree in Industrial Management, Ben spent nearly 15 years excelling in both project management and purchasing for a well-known builder. Seeking a new challenge, Ben accepted the role of Building Company President and spent 3 years leading a high-end local custom builder.
In 2019 Ben and his wife Jaimie obediently took a step of faith and opened Schrock Custom Homes. The company’s mission is to deliver every customer a high-quality custom home and an exceptional building experience. Ben runs the company on a day-to-day basis and Jaimie along with the couple’s five children are invested in the success of Schrock Custom Homes
Ben and Jaimie Schrock
Ben and Jaimie (Stepp) Schrock were both born and raised in Wayne County, where they each developed a strong work ethic from an early age.
The couple met while attending Grove City College in Pennsylvania and were married shortly after graduating. Ben earned a degree in Industrial Management, while Jaimie majored in Christian Thought and Christian Ministries.
Ben brings over 25 years of industry experience to the table. He began his construction career doing masonry and landscaping to help pay for college. After graduation, he spent nearly 15 years thriving in project management and purchasing roles for a respected regional builder. Eager for a new challenge, Ben went on to serve as President of a high-end local design/build firm, where he led operations for three years.
In 2019, following a clear sense of calling from the Lord, Ben and Jaimie took a step of faith and launched Schrock Custom Homes. The company's mission is to deliver not only high-quality custom homes, but also an exceptional building experience, for every client.
The Schrocks are proud parents of six children. As a family, they are actively involved in their church, love playing and cheering on various sports teams, and are committed to investing in their personal health and well-being.
Phil Schar
Construction Manager Phil Schar brings 35 years of residential experience to Schrock Custom Homes. He was born and raised in a family of eleven children. Directly out of high school Phil started in the mechanical trades and tallied 25 years doing plumbing and HVAC work. For the last decade, Phil has managed new custom home construction. Phil puts his gifted eye for detail and his own skilled hands to work every day overseeing each new Schrock build.
Outside of work, Phil and his wife of 25 years, Michelle, are parents to three grown sons, including Matt (wife Kaelyn; son Judah-Indiana), Zack (wife Natalie-Akron), and Austin. Together the couple enjoys vacationing in Florida and Tennessee. Both are also passionate fans who enjoy watching NFL and college football.
Josh Fath
Construction Supervisor Josh Fath was born and raised in Wayne County. Josh graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration; project management. His professional background includes experience in the fields of excavation, contracting, and finish carpentry.
When he is not overseeing new construction projects, Josh enjoys a diverse amount of activities. He enjoys spending quality time with friends, golfing, hunting and playing various sports. He leads worship at Hillside Baptist Church and he enjoys vacationing with family in Sanibel Island, Florida.
Grayson Schrock
Director of Digital Marketing Grayson Schrock is the oldest of the Schrock’s six children. Grayson is extremely passionate about all-things photography and loves capturing creative images of each of the completed custom home projects. When Grayson is not shooting content, he can often be found updating the Schrock Custom Homes website, or laboring at one of the homes under construction.
Outside of work Grayson enjoys reading the Bible, being with friends and family, exercising, and following Cleveland Sports. Grayson is the founder of Cornerstone Photography which specializes in photography and website design.
