The Final Product
Written by Clients Dave and Amanda
Stepping into our new home for the first time, keys in hand, was an unforgettable moment. After months of dreaming, designing, planning, and watching it all come together—walking into the finished product felt surreal. The excitement of moving in and finally living in a space that reflects us was something we’ll never forget. It was the start of a new chapter, not just in a new house, but in a home we had a hand in shaping from the ground up.
Living here now, it’s been so rewarding to experience all the little (and big) features we dreamed about—whether it’s the kitchen we designed for family gatherings, the cozy corners that bring us comfort every day, or the way the light hits our favorite room at sunset. These are the things that make a house truly feel like a home—and we're now building memories in a space made uniquely for us.
“These are the things that make a house truly feel like a home—and we're now building memories in a space made uniquely for us.”
But we’d be lying if we said there wasn’t a small sense of loss once the building process was over. After so many months of collaboration, decisions, walkthroughs, and excitement—it’s strange when it all... stops. What helped ease that transition was knowing we weren’t saying goodbye to our builder—we were simply entering a new phase of the relationship.
That’s one of the things that stood out most: this wasn’t just about building a house—it was about building relationships. From day one, we felt supported by a team that truly cared about our experience. Their attention to detail, clear communication, and the way they involved us every step of the way made the process as enjoyable as the end result. The contractors were also top-notch, treating our project with skill and pride that showed in the final product and the Parade of Homes!
Before we moved in, we were given a thorough new home orientation. It wasn’t rushed or glossed over—it was thoughtful, informative, and reassuring. We felt confident knowing how to care for our home and that it had been completed to the Schrock's high standards.

And even after move-in, the relationship continued. Their proactive service approach—checking in at 45 days and again at the 1-year mark—gave us peace of mind. No home is ever 100% perfect, but what matters is how a builder responds, and this team has been incredibly responsive, professional, and courteous every step of the way.
We’re grateful not just for the home we now live in, but for the journey it took to get here. For anyone considering building, we’d say: enjoy the ride! Yes, moving in is a thrill—but the build process itself can be fun, creative, and memorable if you have the right team behind you. We absolutely did!
